Transport Manager – Newcastle
Currently at Interaction we are recruiting for an ambitious Transport Manager based in Newcastle. The role is Monday‑Friday with weekends and bank holidays off. Typical shifts are 07:00‑17:30.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure effective and efficient use of driver and vehicle resources.
- Ensure all fleet assets are serviced and have MOT in line with requirements.
- Promote effective and efficient standards of work to comply with UK and EU laws, regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
- Ensure the transport planning operations are in line with budgeted costs and achieve all contractual KPI’s.
- Manage tacho‑graph infringements to full compliance.
- Complete accident reports and update risk assessments, contributing to a positive safety culture.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Driver Hours and WTD regulations.
- Experience working in a transport management capacity (essential).
- Knowledge of Driver Hours and WTD regulations (essential).
- Experience in fleet management, MOT, health & safety, and transport planning.
