About The Scheme

Prospect Place in Pelaw is Tyne Housing Association’s new, exemplar housing scheme for vulnerable adults. Developed in conjunction with Gateshead Council, The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, and Homes England, the scheme is designed to put into practice everything that Tyne has learned over the course of over 50 years of working with some of the most excluded and marginalised people in our region.

Support Workers will work with residents to deliver person‑focused support and activities that help them develop confidence and independence. The goal is to boost residents’ confidence and belief in themselves, giving them the next opportunity to move on in a lasting way towards true independence.
