We are currently looking for a Crane Maintenance Technician to join a thriving engineering and maintenance team in Gateshead.

As a Crane Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation, maintenance and reliability of cranes and lifting equipment across site.

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs on cranes and lifting equipment.
• Conducting statutory inspections, tests and maintaining accurate maintenance records in line with legislation.
• Managing maintenance schedules and providing updates to engineering teams.
• Collaborating with production teams and external contractors to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.

We are looking for a motivated Crane Maintenance Technician with:

• A time‑served engineering background (Mechanical or Maintenance), with relevant engineering qualifications.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Confidence working at height and a commitment to strict Health & Safety standards.
• Experience with crane maintenance or LEEA training (advantageous)
