We are seeking a full-time Diesel Generator Engineer to join our team at Tyne Technical Services LTD in Gateshead. The role involves performing routine maintenance, repair, and servicing of diesel generators, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and ensuring optimal generator performance. Additional responsibilities include conducting load bank testing, supporting generator installation, and collaborating with the team to meet client needs. This is an on-site role, requiring hands‑on work with generator systems and associated equipment.

• Proficient in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of diesel generators
• Experience with electrical installation, maintenance, and load bank testing
• Knowledge of refurbishment processes, including onsite painting and equipment servicing
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work under pressure during emergency situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Valid qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering are advantageous
• Experience in generator hire services and operation is a plus
• A commitment to safety practices and adherence to industry standards
• Flexibility to perform emergency call‑outs and work extended hours when required
