Business Development Manager

Location: North East England

Salary: £48,000 to £55,000 basic + uncapped commission and bonus

An established hire and services business is looking to add an experienced Business Development Manager to its team in the North East. This is a field-based role focused on building long‑term customer relationships and growing revenue across the region.

You’ll be responsible for developing new business while managing and expanding existing accounts. The role suits someone who enjoys being out with customers, understands how complex sites operate, and can spot opportunities others miss.

• Identify and win new business across the North East
• Build strong relationships with decision-makers and site teams
• Manage the full sales process from first conversation through to agreement
• Grow existing accounts by understanding customer needs and future plans
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure a high level of service delivery

• Proven experience in B2B sales or business development
• Background selling into manufacturing, industrial, or utilities environments is preferred
• Experience with in construction or major projects would also be well suited
• Comfortable working autonomously and managing your own territory
• Strong communication skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach
