Retail Assistant - Part Time (Wrekenton, Gateshead)

Hours:

8 hours across 2 days per week.

Pay: £10.10 - £12.31 per hour.

The amount that you will earn depends on your age:

• Ages 16-20 = £10.10 per hour
• Ages 21+ = £12.31 per hour

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items that they are looking for.
• Give fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for customers.
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean, and tidy.

• A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy, moving between deliveries, till, shop floor, cleaning, stock rotation, etc.
• Reliability: dependable as part of a small team; must do best on each shift and not let the team down.
• Flexibility with shifts, especially when teammates are on holiday; rota planned three weeks in advance and individual commitments accommodated.
