Alleviate Furniture Poverty Volunteer at Foundations

Weekly volunteering schedule on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, starting from Monday, February 28, 2022, at 9:00 am, ongoing.

Volunteer with us any weekday (excluding bank holidays) between 9 am and 4 pm.

At Foundations, we collect furniture free of charge from local households in and around Tyne and Wear. We then provide it to families and individuals in need through our charity shop in Gateshead.

We are seeking volunteers to assist our friendly drivers with furniture collection and delivery, as well as help in our showrooms and warehouses.

• Helping load and unload the van
• Moving furniture and household items to display areas
• Assisting with collections and deliveries

Our premises are located in the heart of the Teams residential area of Gateshead, with good transport links from Gateshead Town Centre and free on-site parking.

Are you good at working as part of a team and care about the community? Lifting and moving furniture can be physically demanding, so good strength and fitness are beneficial but not essential.
