Research and Development Technologist at Biscuit International UK Limited

R&D Controller

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage development projects with support from the R&D team, acting as the main contact internally and externally.
• Provide weekly updates via Launch Meetings, Trackers, and the C2L/Clarizen system.
• Coordinate artwork and packaging processes, ensuring alignment with customer timelines.
• Monitor product costs and advise on corrective actions.
• Support ingredient and process research to maintain competitive advantage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Commercial, Technical, and Marketing.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP and legal standards.
• Drive sustainable packaging initiatives and support ESG policy.

Skills and Experience:

• Degree/HND in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
• Experience supporting R&D functions, ideally within the biscuit baking sector.
• Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP, and sensory analysis.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient in IT and project management tools.
• Experience in industrial trials and cross-functional teamwork.
• Knowledge of project management and strategic planning.
• Experience with Clarizen or similar systems.
• Familiarity with customer codes of practice and sustainable packaging.
