Home Help Assistant

Are you compassionate, reliable, and looking to make a real difference in the lives of older people living in the West of Gateshead (Ryton, Blaydon, Winlaton, Crawcrook)?

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our friendly team providing weekly cleaning and home support services to older adults in their own homes. This role is more than just cleaning; it’s about supporting our clients to maintain independence and improve their quality of life.

Assistants tend to start with 2‑3 hours per week, and then build up hours to suit their needs.

• Ensuring homes are clean and tidy, by following the individual home help plan for each client
• Providing shopping, prescription collection and paying bills for clients
• Filling in client records, taking payment and bringing paperwork and payment to the head office on a weekly basis

• Flexible hours to suit you and your commitments – you start on a few hours, and if wanted, you can build hours up at your own pace, on the days of the week that suit you
• We never ask you to work evenings or weekends, or between Christmas and New Year
• Mileage expenses paid for by us
• Full training, uniform and PPE provided

Our clients are based across Gateshead but we always try to match our home help assistants with clients that live in the areas that are compatible. We are currently seeking home help assistants to support our customers in the West of Gateshead (Ryton, Blaydon, Winlaton, Crawcrook etc). Having access to your own vehicle is desirable.
