Financial Manager
We’re looking for an experienced and commercially minded Financial Controller to join our finance leadership team and play a pivotal role in driving financial control, accuracy, and efficiency across the business.
Reporting to the Finance Director and working closely with the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial control environment, ensuring the timely production of management accounts, statutory reports, and robust financial information to support decision-making. You’ll also lead and develop a high-performing finance processing and accounting team, embedding best practice and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all financial control, accounting, and reporting activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity.
- Provide professional expert financial control and accounting advice to all management levels on statutory and regulatory requirements to enable strategic decision making.
- Produce timely management accounts and provide insightful analysis to the Finance Director, Head of FP&A, and Executive team.
- Ensure a strong balance sheet, effective cash management, and robust internal controls.
- Support the development of medium‑and‑long‑term business plans and performance targets.
- Oversee payroll, financial processing, statutory accounts and audit preparation.
- Drive process improvement and automation across finance systems to increase efficiency.
- Lead, inspire, and develop the finance team to deliver excellence and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration.
- Partner with the wider business and the Novomatic Group to provide strategic financial insight and ensure effective governance.
You’ll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years’ post‑qualification experience (PQE) in a senior finance role, ideally with a strong background in financial control, reporting, and team leadership.
You combine technical excellence with strong commercial acumen, and you’re passionate about driving improvements, mentoring others, and ensuring the highest standards of compliance and accuracy.
You’ll Bring- At least 5 years’ PQE in financial control, accounting, or similar senior finance positions
