Management Accountant

Jackson Hogg is supporting a fantastic client in Gateshead on the appointment of a Management Accountant. This role will suit candidates at the start of their chartered studies, looking to learn and develop as a Management Accountant.

• Salary : £35k per annum

Key Responsibilities

• Review and finalise monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and clear analysis
• Prepare monthly income, expenditure and profitability analysis
• Manage month-end processes including journals, accruals, prepayments and overhead analysis
• Lead the production of the monthly MI pack
• Work with finance and non-finance teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition for new and existing projects
• Oversee all balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversee posting of transactions in erp system (creditors, debtors, bank, general ledger) to ensure timely and accurate processing
• Lead quarterly VAT returns
• Support year-end accounting, including liaison with auditors
• Continually seek to improve processes
• Assist with financial analysis and wider finance projects

Person Specification

• Experience preparing management accounts and performing balance sheet reconciliations
• Ambitious and driven to succeed
• Comfortable working with both finance and non-finance colleagues
