A welcoming primary school in Gateshead is looking for a Graduate Classroom Assistant to support pupils in a Key Stage 1 classroom.
This is a brilliant opportunity to gain classroom experience while learning directly from experienced teachers.
About the roleWorking closely with the class teacher, you’ll support daily classroom activities and help pupils develop essential early learning skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting phonics, reading and early maths activities
- Assisting pupils during lessons and group work
- Helping children stay focused and engaged
- Supporting classroom routines and transitions
- Encouraging positive behaviour and participation
You’ll play an important role in helping pupils build confidence in their learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
