Location: Gateshead

Protocol Education is working with a highly respected specialist school in Gateshead that supports pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties
. The school has an incredibly supportive staffing structure
, where staff work closely together to ensure every pupil receives the best possible care and learning experience.

A typical day may include:

• Supporting pupils with complex learning needs and physical disabilities

• Delivering sensory learning activities such as sensory rooms, music therapy and tactile exploration

• Assisting with feeding, personal care, and mobility support

• Encouraging communication through visual cues, Makaton or communication aids

• Supporting pupils during therapy sessions and structured learning activities

• Helping students develop independence and life skills

Essential experience:

• Proven experience working in a PMLD or complex needs school setting

• Knowledge of sensory learning approaches

• Experience supporting wheelchair users or mobility needs

• A strong understanding of safeguarding and SEND support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
