A welcoming secondary school in Gateshead is looking for an enthusiastic Sixth Form Teacher to support and challenge students in their A-Level or equivalent studies. This is your opportunity to shape confident, independent learners who are ready to thrive in the next stage of their lives.
Your RoleAs a Sixth Form Teacher, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that encourage critical thinking, independent study, and academic excellence.
- Support students in achieving their academic goals
, including A-Level success and post-18 pathways. - Mentor and guide students, helping them develop study skills, resilience, and confidence
. - Collaborate with a dedicated, supportive team to create a thriving Sixth Form environment.
- Experience teaching post-16 students
, ideally at A-Level or equivalent. - Strong subject knowledge and understanding of exam specifications.
- Ability to motivate and challenge learners
, encouraging high standards and independent learning. - Commitment to positive behaviour management and supporting students’ personal and academic growth.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
