Sociology Graduate Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education is currently recruiting Sociology graduates to support primary schools across Gateshead as Teaching Assistants.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience supporting young learners while developing valuable skills in behaviour support, communication, and classroom management.

Working hours are 8.30am to 3.30pm, term time only

In this role, you’ll support pupils academically and socially, helping them feel confident, supported, and ready to learn.

You’ll play an important role in the classroom by:

• Supporting children with reading, writing, and numeracy
• Helping pupils stay focused and engaged in lessons
• Assisting with small group interventions
• Supporting children who need additional encouragement
• Helping create a positive, supportive classroom environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
