TP Tutors is looking for compassionate tutors to provide 1:1 support for Looked After Children in Gateshead (NE8 4LN
). This role focuses on helping young people rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning, and make progress in core subjects such as Maths, English, and Science
.

• Deliver personalised 1:1 tuition sessions

• Adapt lessons to meet each learner’s needs

• Build positive, supportive relationships

• Help students stay engaged and make progress

Sessions take place face-to-face in the pupil’s home or a local community setting (e.g., library).

• Teaching, tutoring, or education support experience

• Patient and supportive approach

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

• £25–£30 per hour depending on experience

• Flexible weekday hours

• Weekly PAYE pay – no umbrella fees

• Ongoing support and CPD opportunities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
