SEMH Teaching Assistant – Nurturing and Rewarding Role (Gateshead)

We are recruiting an enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive SEMH school in Gateshead. This role is perfect for someone who wants to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and build confidence.

You’ll work 1:1 and in small groups, supporting pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement in learning.

• Experience with SEN, SEMH, or behavioural support (school, care, or mentoring)

• Resilient, patient, and compassionate personality

• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils

• Willingness to learn and develop professionally

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
