Qualified Primary Teacher; KS1

The Role:

• Full teaching responsibility for a KS1 class

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum

• Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching accordingly

• Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment

• Working closely with teaching assistants and the KS1 lead

• Established class routines

• Planning support available

• Strong TA support

• Excellent behaviour standards

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• KS1 teaching experience (including supply or long-term roles)

• Confident classroom management

• Availability to start asap

We are working directly with a welcoming and well-organised Gateshead primary school that has a KS1 classroom ready now and requires a Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) to step in.

This is a long-term opportunity with strong potential to become permanent for the right teacher. The school has clear routines, supportive leadership, and experienced teaching assistants already in place.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
