Informal Site Visits and Chats Welcomed and Encouraged

The post holder will manage a patient‑based caseload and address a wide range of health needs within a primary care setting, delivering high‑quality clinical care to all registered and temporary patients.

The role requires flexibility to undertake a range of duties, including on‑call sessions, face‑to‑face and telephone consultations, responding to clinical queries, home visits, reviewing and signing repeat prescriptions, and completing associated paperwork and correspondence efficiently.

The post holder will make professional, autonomous clinical decisions for patients presenting with both diagnosed and undifferentiated conditions, whether self‑referred or referred by other healthcare professionals.

Clear and contemporaneous clinical records must be maintained, and prescribing will be in accordance with the practice formulary or generically where clinically appropriate.

Overall, the post holder will be expected to undertake the full range of duties associated with a GP role within primary care.

We have an excellent relationship with our small PCN, which comprises four practices. Through the PCN, we are supported by a wide range of ARRS staff, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, a first‑contact physiotherapist, a mental health practitioner, a digital transformation team, and paramedics. We are also fortunate to work closely with a large team of community link workers (social prescribers).

Our practice delivers consistently high standards of care, with particular strengths in the management of long‑term conditions. We offer a wide range of clinics, including minor surgery, joint injections, women's health, menopause, baby, and long‑term condition clinics, among others. We are proud to be consistently high QOF achievers year on year, reflecting the dedication and work ethic of our team.

In line with the agreed practice timetable, the post holder will provide high‑quality, patient‑centred care within a primary care setting.
