Main duties of the jobThe post holder will manage a patient‑based caseload and address a wide range of health needs within a primary care setting, delivering high‑quality clinical care to all registered and temporary patients.
The role requires flexibility to undertake a range of duties, including on‑call sessions, face‑to‑face and telephone consultations, responding to clinical queries, home visits, reviewing and signing repeat prescriptions, and completing associated paperwork and correspondence efficiently.
The post holder will make professional, autonomous clinical decisions for patients presenting with both diagnosed and undifferentiated conditions, whether self‑referred or referred by other healthcare professionals.
Clear and contemporaneous clinical records must be maintained, and prescribing will be in accordance with the practice formulary or generically where clinically appropriate.
Overall, the post holder will be expected to undertake the full range of duties associated with a GP role within primary care.

We are also fortunate to work closely with a large team of community link workers (social prescribers).
Our practice delivers consistently high standards of care, with particular strengths in the management of long‑term conditions. We offer a wide range of clinics, including minor surgery, joint injections, women's health, menopause, baby, and long‑term condition clinics, among others. We are proud to be consistently high QOF achievers year on year, reflecting the dedication and work ethic of our team.
Job responsibilitiesIn line with the agreed practice timetable, the post holder will provide high‑quality, patient‑centred care within a primary care setting.
