Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Overview

An Assistant Quantity Surveyor is required to join one of the most respected main contractors in the North East.

The company work across a variety of sectors including Education, Healthcare, Industrial, Commercial & Leisure on projects up to £20m. They are financially secure with turnover consistently around the £60m mark and have already secured their turnover target for 2026. They have an enviable reputation for staff retention with their average employee being in place for 10 years.

• Assistant Quantity Surveyor with project administration
• Develop understanding on contractual requirements
• Complete external valuations, remeasurements and pricing variations
• Start to demonstrate confidence with procurement of subcontractors
• Form effective relationships with the site team
• Develop deeper understanding of valuation cycle
• Prioritise and manage time whilst working to deadlines
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients

• Be a confident and reliable Assistant Quantity Surveyor
• Degree qualified or ONC/HND qualified with 2/3 years' experience
• Possess strong numeracy and report writing skills
• Have good presentation skills
• Demonstrable construction experience/exposure

Remuneration is negotiable dependent upon experience, up to £42,000 p.a including company vehicle or car allowance and attractive benefits package
