Business Centre Assistant, based across the Business Centre portfolio in Gateshead. Permanent role Monday‑Friday on site 8:30am‑5pm (4:30pm finish on a Friday).

As a valued member of the Economy, Innovation & Growth group, you’ll support the smooth operation of our business centres and meeting facilities, providing excellent customer service and administrative support to tenants and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Team Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the business centre portfolio and meeting facilities.
- Assist with the development, implementation and management of record‑keeping and diary systems to ensure smooth operations.
- Act as the first point of contact for tenants, delivering exceptional customer service, handling complaints professionally and providing reception services when required.
- Respond promptly and effectively to enquiries, including conducting viewings for prospective tenants and preparing quotations.
- Help develop and deliver activities and events that encourage business networking and foster a positive, collaborative working environment.
- Support effective communication with service users and stakeholders through newsletters, e‑bulletins and website updates.
- Assist with monitoring income and expenditure, including processing payments and generating sales invoices.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and online booking systems.
- Knowledge of financial management and monitoring procedures.
- Ability to work to and achieve targets.
- Creativity, self‑motivation and a customer‑first mindset.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with others.
- Excellent organisational skills, prioritising workload and meeting tight deadlines.
- NVQ Level 2 in Information, Advice and Guidance (or willingness to work towards this qualification).
