How you will contribute and grow

Responsibilities
  • Operates a Class B Hazmat vehicle, transporting individual gas cylinders to other Airgas locations.
  • Proficiency in English language for communication, signs, and documentation.
  • Strong verbal skills, self-motivation, attention to detail, and goal-oriented.
  • Maintain accurate load manifests and documents.
  • Foster strong customer relationships, provide cost and delivery information.
  • Monitor and adjust cylinder levels to prevent emergencies.
  • Analytical problem-solving for customer inquiries.
  • Safely load/unload, deliver, and retrieve cylinders and hard goods.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Class B CDL
  • Must have HAZMAT endorsement or be able to obtain the endorsement within 60 days of being hired
  • Successful completion of Airgas Background and Motor Vehicle Check
  • DOT Clearinghouse verification from previous employers is required
  • Ability to routinely lift 25 – 75 lbs., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lbs
  • Willingness to work outdoors in changing temperatures
  • Ability to maintain a drug-free workplace
  • Adherence to safety regulations and policies
Preferred Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift Experience
  • Touch freight delivery experience
