Store Sales Associate

Overview

Citi Trends is looking for a dedicated Store Sales Associate to join our team at one of the largest chains in the value-priced urban apparel industry. We're growing, so if you've ever wanted a chance to lead the way, this is it.

• Processing freight
• Assisting with price changes/markdowns
• Balances register according to company policy
• Calls out prices for customers when ringing register transactions
• Bags merchandise efficiently at checkout
• Handles cash, checks and credit cards correctly and per company policy
• Obtains management approval for returns, voids and checks
• Maintains and performs housekeeping duties as assigned
• Provides proper customer service, including greeting customers, adhering to fitting room policies, ringing transactions in a timely manner, thanking customers, and inviting them to return
• Follows all safety procedures
• Maintains professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag
• Assists management in merchandising on the sales floor according to stock levels
• Assists management with tasks per company policy
• Explains exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions
• Supports Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents, and following current operational policies

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages)
