Lab Technician

Description

Upcoming backfill for a lab tech moving out of the area (Sydney Robinson).

• Perform in-process, final and/or retain sample testing for prepolymers, curatives and crop products.
• Calculate adjustments for in-process batches for all products.
• Operate and maintain analytical equipment including HPLC, GC, Auto Titrators, Viscometer, Particle Size analyzer, Karl Fisher.
• Perform testing on retain samples for shelf life extension or root cause investigation.
• Data entry into LIMS and SAP.
• Approve incoming raw materials based on COA results and necessary test(s).
• Batch ticket preparation for conventional and Low Free urethane products.
• Basic laboratory functions such as stocking chemicals, disposing of waste, washing glassware, shipping samples and maintaining a clean laboratory environment.

• Associate degree in Science required, BS - preferred in Chemistry.
• Good computer skills – Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be able to multi-task and to handle the stress/pressure of a dynamic work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gastonia, NC.

The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $22.00/hr.
