Job DescriptionPerforms mechanical maintenance tasks such as preventative maintenance, machine repair, metal fabrication, welding, plumbing, painting and other common maintenance tasks. Maintains electrical systems for equipment, performs preventive maintenance to maximize production time and minimize downtime.
- Dismantles machines or equipment, replaces defective parts and motors, and adjusts feed mechanisms.
- Cleans and lubricates machine parts such as shafts, pulleys, gears, and bearings.
- Replaces or repairs machine belts.
- Removes dust, dirt, grease, and waste material from machines.
- Paints machines or equipment to prevent corrosion.
- Bends, cuts, and threads pipe, cuts openings in walls, ceilings, and floors for pipes, and seals pipe joints with sealing compound.
- Assembles, reconfigures or moves parts for workstations and other furnishings.
- Patches or replaces plaster board and paints walls, ceilings, and trim of building.
- Clears clogged drains and replaces plumbing fixtures.
- Operates welding machine to repair or join metal parts.
- Cleans work area, tools, and equipment.
- Operates forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts as required.
- Performs other routine duties as necessary.
- Troubleshoots control circuits in production equipment.
- Implements electrical/electronic improvements on equipment for better and safer performance.
- Analyzes electronic components and systems to design and develop improvements to PLC systems, mixing processes and production lines.
- Evaluates operational systems and recommends design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions and improve productivity.
- Repairs and maintains all electronic and electrical systems of all production operations.
- Performs other duties when requested.
- High school diploma.
- Four years maintaining manufacturing equipment.
