Primary Purpose of Position: This position will perform semi-skilled tasks in general and preventative facility, property and vehicle maintenance repair work for Partners owned and sub-leased property.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing: Provide maintenance and repair for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and control systems for Partners facilities as well as provider facilities that contract for those services.
- Preventative Maintenance: Schedule and conduct preventative maintenance for Partners and applicable provider sites. Document findings and list work performed by date, time, and location. Maintains vehicle fleet and ensures proper maintenance scheduling.
- Contract Management: Assure that work orders for repairs are accurate and billed in accordance with facilities contracts and that all vendor contracts are completed and required by the same. Performs monthly inspections and investigates complaints regarding janitorial and other vendor/contractor performance. Acts as a liaison to outside vendors and contractors.
- Safety: Perform and evaluate monthly fire drills for all Partners sites. Verify that all procedures for preparing and conducting drills have been completed. Conduct Emergency Drills. Document findings and review with Safety Officer and Facility Manager. Performs building inspection monthly to ensure safety and security.
- Projects: Assist Facility Manager with projects and project planning for all locations. Contact vendors for price quotes and gather data for final project bids. Serves as Project Manager for small projects.
- Performs other related work as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of practices, methods, and techniques of general maintenance and material and equipment handling
- Working knowledge of current and emerging industry best practice and of policies and procedures
- Skill in the use and care of tools and equipment necessary to the work
- Ability to operate the more common types of shop and wood working equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to interact with internal and external customers to determine needs or resolve problems
- Ability to enforce rules and regulations applicable to safe performance within building sites
Education/Experience
Required:
High School Diploma with three (3) years facilities, maintenance or construction experience.
Must be able to travel as needed to perform job duties.
Education/Experience Preferred: Associate’s Degree in a maintenance or construction field with two (2) years facilities, maintenance or construction experience.
