Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Gastonia, North Carolina

$1,745 per week at Cross Country Nurses.

Travel Nurse RN in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) provides intermediate-level patient care, monitoring those who require more attention than a general ward but less than intensive care. This role involves working 12‑hour night shifts for 36 hours per week over a 13‑week travel assignment. The position requires an active RN license and recent acute care experience, offering competitive pay, housing allowance, health insurance, and other travel nursing benefits.

As a registered nurse - progressive care unit (RN PCU), you will help care for patients who need a moderate level of monitoring and assessment but whose conditions do not require the resources of the intensive care unit. In other words, it is an intermediary level of hospital care. Telemetry units, intermediate care units, direct observation units, step‑down units, or transitional care units are sometimes called progressive care units.
