Job Summary: To perform a wide variety of Speech Therapy evaluations and procedures in the care and treatment of patients.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from a recognized college or university majoring in Speech‑Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech and Hearing Science.
- At least one year of speech therapy experience is required.
- Considerable knowledge of speech and swallowing terminology, procedures, and techniques.
- Thorough skill and clinical judgement in performing speech therapy procedures, including bedside swallow evaluations and treatment.
- Full‑time and part‑time staff must demonstrate specialized skills in performing and interpreting modified barium swallow studies (MBSS) within 5 months of hire and fiber optic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) within 18 months of hire.
- For PRN staff, demonstrating the performance and interpretation of MBSS and FEES is preferred.
- Experience with neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) assessment and treatment is beneficial.
- Demonstrates effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams that aligns with Caro Mont’s cultural values.

- BLS Certification required.
