Basic Accountability Statement

To provide the highest quality massage therapy services to patients. Administers all forms of Massage Therapy as appropriate; maintains positive working relationships with support staff; assists with office functions as needed; performs related duties as required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective patient care in an outpatient physical therapy setting, ensuring sessions begin and end on time.
• Deliver a wide range of massage services, including Sports, Deep Tissue, Swedish, Trigger Point Therapy, and Lymphedema therapy.
• Create a welcoming environment, check in with clients throughout sessions, and debrief with follow-up care recommendations.
• Collaborate with clinic staff, document patient care accurately, and make referrals with clinic lead approval.
• Support clinic growth by assisting with marketing, community outreach, and participating in continuing education.

Qualifications

• Current state massage therapy license in good standing.
• Previous experience with sports massage, deep tissue, Swedish, and trigger point therapy.
• Excellent patient interaction skills and a calming demeanor.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Working Conditions

May be exposed to infectious diseases, electricity, and strain from moving or supporting patients.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and assist patients with exercises and transfers.
• Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently.
