Point of Care Medical Technologist

Job Summary

Performs a wide variety of activities to coordinate the Point of Care programs of the laboratory. Assists in implementation of employee orientation program. Practices as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (MT/CLS/MLS) as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree from a recognized school or university.
• MT/CLS/MLS (ASCP) registration or equivalent required or must obtain ASCP or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
• At least two years of medical laboratory experience.
• Thorough knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and specimen requirements.
• Considerable skills in performing various laboratory tests.
• Considerable skills in planning, organizing and teaching.
• Good customer service skills and interpersonal skills. Ability to use independent judgment.
