Job Title: Senior Accountant (Direct Hire)
Location (City, State): Concord, NC
Pay: $80,000–$95,000 / year
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Job Description:The Senior Accountant will play a key role within the accounting and finance function, supporting core financial operations and serving as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders. This individual will be responsible for month-end close activities, financial reporting, analysis, and compliance while contributing to ongoing system enhancements and business initiatives. The role offers meaningful exposure to leadership and opportunities to support acquisitions and system implementations.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance explanations
- Calculate and maintain commission accruals and provide support to sales teams regarding compensation reporting
- Oversee sales and use tax compliance and reconciliation processes, including coordination with third-party tax platforms
- Support merger and acquisition activity through accounting integration, policy alignment, and process onboarding
- Partner with external auditors and assist with audit preparation and documentation
- Develop and enhance accounting policies, internal controls, and financial procedures
- Monitor changes in accounting regulations and ensure adherence to GAAP (and IFRS, as applicable)
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support business initiatives and provide financial insights
- Deliver ad hoc analysis and decision support for special projects
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within accounting processes and systems
- Assist with financial presentations and reporting materials for leadership and external stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA strongly preferred
- 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong background in revenue accounting, general ledger management, and month-end close
- Experience in a manufacturing or job-shop environment preferred
- Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables); comfort with financial presentations
- ERP system experience required;
Acumatica experience a plus - Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to partner effectively with business leaders
- Fully onsite role
- Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
