Part-time organist (15-20 hrs/week) for a 1,500-member church in the metro Charlotte area with a tradition of excellence in music ministry and mission to the community. Responsibilities include two Sunday morning services, weekly choir rehearsals, festival services, concerts, weddings, and funerals. The organist accompanies the Chancel Choir, soloists, and ensembles.

• Accompany Chancel Choir, soloists, and ensembles during services and events.
• Support repertoire that reflects traditional and contemporary church music within a liturgical United Methodist context.
• Collaborate with clergy, musicians, and staff to plan worship services.

• Bachelor’s degree required (organ major preferred; graduate degree optional).
• Additional study in sacred music is a plus.
• 5-7 years’ experience as an organist preferred.
• Experience with a 73-rank, three-manual Möller organ (1956/renovated 1997) and antiphonal organ in sanctuary;
  Cornell Zimmer organ (2006) in chapel.
• Knowledge and commitment to traditional and contemporary church music within a liturgical, United Methodist context.

Salary commensurate with experience.
