Operational Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily parts department operations, including receiving, organizing, stocking, and labeling parts.
  • Perform accurate cycle counts and help maintain inventory integrity by reporting discrepancies to the Senior Parts Specialist.
  • Receive incoming orders; verify quantity, condition, pricing, and stage parts for stocking.
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and clean parts storage area in accordance with company standards.
  • Support with preparing parts for return shipments such as cores, incorrect parts, and warranties (under direction of the Senior Parts Specialist).
  • Monitor bin levels and notify the Senior Parts Specialist when items need to be reordered.
  • Assist in preparing and pulling parts for technician repair orders.
Shop Support
  • Provide timely, helpful support to technicians by locating, issuing, and documenting parts.
  • Maintain professional communication with Technicians, Foremen, Service Writers, Senior Parts Specialist, and Branch Manager.
  • Assist with staging parts for upcoming jobs to support efficient shop workflow.
  • Help identify commonly used parts that require restocking and communicate needs to the Senior Parts Specialist.
Development & Administrative Responsibilities
  • Learn company parts procedures, stocking methods, and inventory systems under the guidance of the Senior Parts Specialist.
  • Assist with basic data entry tasks, including stocking locations, part counts, and receiving entries.
  • Participate in ongoing training to develop parts knowledge, inventory skills, and internal processes.
  • Support the Senior Parts Specialist with maintaining accurate records for receiving, stocking, and cycle counts.
General Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions, learn quickly, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills: familiarity with Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support the parts department team.
  • Clean driving record: ability to pick up or deliver parts when needed.
  • Prior warehouse, shop, or inventory experience preferred but not required.
  • TWIC card preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work an 8-hour shift or more, with periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move parts up to 50 lbs. regularly; occasional lifting over 75 lbs. with assistance.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and access shelving.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment (training provided if needed).
  • Ability to work in warehouse or shop environments in varying temperatures.
  • Visual and manual dexterity required for stocking, labeling, and parts identification.
Position Focus (Summary)

The Parts Specialist I is an entry-level role that supports the daily functions of the parts department by focusing on parts organization, receiving, stocking, cycle counting, and ensuring technicians receive the correct parts quickly. This role works closely with and reports to the Senior Parts Supervisor.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 7am-4pm

Salary role with a pay range of $33,00 - $42,000.00 based on experience.
