DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide oversight and direction to coordinate craft workers under his/her supervision and efficiently accomplish the work safely and correctly.
Understand and support project scheduling, material control/purchasing, and productivity reporting/tracking.
Be able to create and execute a weekly plan/schedule.
Be able to set and execute production based goals in line with budgets.
Be able to perform or be strongly familiar with, all the duties of craft workers under his/her supervision.
Review and understand safety policies and procedures and implement them on the jobsite.
Teach safe working practices to crew members
Be able to identify project safety hazards and eliminate or mitigate the hazards.
Report all incidents to supervision and participate in accident investigations.
Ensure all crew members, site visitors, and subcontractors understand, participate in discussion of, and sign pre and post job safety briefings.
Write and conduct pre-job briefings and safety led discussions to communicate safety concerns and daily work plan to crew members.
Perform task specific planning to complete tasks safely while providing a quality product.
Maintain an organized and clean job site including work areas, tool trailers, storage facilities, and office facilities.
Be able to plan ahead to insure proper tools, equipment, and material are available in time to prevent production loss.
Use effective verbal and written communication skills.
Read and comprehend complete set of foundation drawings and specifications.
Provide on-the-job training to those individuals under his/her supervision.
Inspect work at completion to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
Ensure that site construction equipment is in good working order upon receipt. After receipt ensure that equipment is operated correctly, maintained properly, and malfunctions reported immediately.
Provide and document feedback for subordinates as well as direction for subordinates to develop and advance.
Comply with Company Code of Conduct and jobsite policies
Complete or implement all other job-related duties as requested by supervisor.
Develop a working strong relationship with the client representative or management.
Travel out of town to remote jobsites as required by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience as a foreman or drill rig operator for a transmission drilled pier crew.
Should have knowledge of different methods of foundation installations such as using temporary casing, slurry method, and rock excavation. Experience operating various drill rigs.
Be able to operate an electronic theodolite transit and a grade level.
Must have leadership abilities and organizational skills including but not limited to the ability to train employees in the foundation installation process
Capable to receive and follow verbal directions.
Valid Driver's License
Capable of working well with others as a team.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Basic computer or smart phone competency.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent.
5+ Years of Drilled Pier Construction Experience
Crane Certified
Class A CDL
Previous experience as a supervisor.
WORK CONDITIONS
Required to stand, kneel, bend, stoop, walk, push, pull, and complete repetitive motions. Capable to routinely lift objects up to 25 pounds in weight and infrequently lift objects up to 50 pounds in weight. Full range of motion required as well as finger dexterity.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Typical construction work site environment that includes being exposed to extreme weather conditions of heat or cold (above 90 degrees and below 32 degrees), inclement weather, distracting and uncomfortable noise conditions, electrical hazards, and poor lighting conditions.
