Assist in the overall cleaning of an Assisted Living Community to ensure residents are provided with an uncluttered, orderly environment while maintaining a sanitation grade of 90 or above at all times.
Responsibilities- Perform general cleaning of the entire community, including floors, furniture, vacuuming, dusting, bathroom facilities, laundry facilities, baseboards, door facings, and walls to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Place warning signs in areas being cleaned to ensure safety of residents, visitors, and staff.
- Maintain supplies of soap, paper towels, and tissue in designated areas.
- Regularly empty and clean trash cans.
- Eliminate unpleasant odors consistently.
- Manage inventory and purchase of chemicals and housekeeping supplies within the facility budget, adhering to administrative policies.
- Ensure purchase receipts are signed and retained on file for ED/Administrator.
- Respect residents' dignity, promote their safety, and support their well-being.
- Collaborate effectively with staff and foster positive relationships with residents and their families.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information in compliance with regulations.
- Follow all safety standards including accident, fire, OSHA, and emergency protocols.
- Familiarize and assist residents in exercising their rights as outlined in the Adult Care Home Residents' Bill of Rights.
- Handle equipment and supplies carefully and responsibly.
- Adhere to all Adult Care Home and employee policies.
- Participate in ongoing education and training as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Ensure cleaning supplies are securely stored when not in use and supervised during use.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and follow instructions.
- Capability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
- No substantiated findings on the NC Personnel Registry or Health Care Program.
- Clear SBI and DMV records, maintained during employment.
- Ability to complete a two-step tuberculin skin test, with the first prior to hire and the second within two weeks.
