PositionWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician at our Carriage Homes on the Lake property located in Garland, TX. Your role will involve troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical systems, as well as performing general maintenance duties. This position requires flexibility, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical systems
- Conduct property inspections to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly
- Respond to maintenance requests and complete work orders in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and building codes
- Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment, and order replacements as needed
- Assist with preventive maintenance programs and special projects
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inspections
- Collaborate with property management teams to ensure the smooth operation of the properties
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in property maintenance or a related field
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
- EPA, HVAC, and CPO certifications required
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel frequently and adapt to different property environments
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in using maintenance software and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed
