Outside Sales, Sales Representative

Job Description

Members of the Outside Sales Team are responsible for maintaining customer relationships, growing product sales, and developing new, productive accounts while maintaining a professional image for SPEC Building Materials Corporation. Team members aggressively promote and sell the entire SPEC product line.

Job Location:

3615 Miller Park Dr., Garland, Texas

• Prospecting for new accounts through cold calling, providing leads and networking.
• Meeting and exceeding predetermined sales goals.
• Maintaining existing customer base with excellent customer service.
• Understanding and advising customers on products and services that SPEC Building Materials offers.
• Maintaining good relationships with valued vendors.
• Maintaining a successful track record selling building materials to contractors; demonstrating and practicing excellent customer service skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong math skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to manage one's time effectively with little supervision.
• Strong presentation, negotiation and closing skills.
• Maintaining a current and valid state‑issued driver's license.

• Two years of industry or industry‑related experience in Home Building or Remodeling is a plus.
• At least two years of outside sales experience, preferably in the building material distribution industry.
