• Support and assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians.
• Help maintain the flow of patients and communicate with the veterinarian and vet techs.
• Carry out or set up procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance.
• Adhere to hospital standards to keep pets safe and maintain clean and organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
• Educate clients about preventive care and our wellness plans.
• Mentor other members of the hospital team as appropriate.

• Certificate of completion from a NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform all required skills of NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant programs at a level that aids practice efficiency.

The pay range for this role is $15.99 - $20.44 Hourly. The specific rate is determined based on the candidate’s experience, skill level, and education, and may vary by location or applicable minimum wage laws.
