We Make Doors – Where they lead is up to you… PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsible for supporting the warehouse department (material handling, shipping, receiving). Responsibilities also include keeping the warehouse clean and disposition of trash and recycling of pallets and/or cardboard in a timely manner.
JOBDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operates forklift in a manner to transport material for production needs in a safe manner without damaging product.
- Ensures material is being rotated on a “first-in-first out” basis.
- Keep warehouse aisles clean so material can be transported in an efficient and productive manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
- Utilize production, shipping, receiving paperwork and compare quantity/quality of material needed.
- Maintain positive work ethic, attitude and outlook towards fellow employees and supervisors.
- Report any discrepancies of product to Group Manager or Lead.
- Performs all duties assigned by supervisor in an efficient and effective manner.
- Has working knowledge of product specifications and inspects products to ensure material is in compliance with product quality standards.
- Provides all necessary paperwork for receiving, shipping, etc.
- Helps in other areas as needed when necessary.
- Dispose of cardboard, pallets and garbage from facility in a timely and controlled manner.
- Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs and use team lift when needed.
- Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to operate forklift safely.
- Must show proficiency in the operation of all necessary equipment.
- Wears proper safety equipment, PPE and operates equipment in a safe and proper manner.
- Maintain positive attitude towards work and fellow employees.
- Detailed standard work document with schedule of all required tasks and when to complete them will be reviewed with employee when job is awarded.
- May be required to work or assist in other areas throughout the facility, any additional work as directed by supervisor or lead.
