Our team is growing, and we are seeking a skilled Parts Specialist to support our service team by ensuring all the necessary parts for equipment repairs are ordered and managed efficiently.
Position Overview: As a Parts Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the operations of our service department. You will work closely with the service team to identify, order, and manage parts required for the repair of commercial laundry equipment from service calls. Your expertise in commercial laundry equipment will ensure that our service team has the right parts at the right time to meet our commitment to excellent customer service and support.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with service technicians to identify parts needed for repairs on commercial laundry equipment.
- Source and order parts from suppliers, managing the entire order process from requisition to delivery.
- Manage and monitor drop-shipments to customers for technician return for repair.
- Maintain accurate records of parts inventory, orders placed, and parts received.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best prices, quality, and delivery times.
- Coordinate with the service team to schedule repairs based on parts availability.
- Provide technical support and advice on parts compatibility and alternatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to parts ordering and inventory management.
- Proven experience as a Parts Specialist, specifically within the commercial laundry equipment sector.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial laundry equipment, including brands, models, and parts.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
