- Coordinate total estimating effort relevant to a particular bid or project.
- Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre‑bid meetings, etc., to determine the scope of work and required contents of project estimate.
- Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work using Accubid estimating software.
- Interpret or utilize design completion when drawing or design is unfinished. Team up with engineering when required.
- Identify any unique quality control provisions or safety requirements required for the project and incorporate related costs into bid.
- Ascertain any risks related to the estimate in order to guarantee that provisions are made for those risks in the tender.
- Ensure that estimates are complete, well‑organized, and ready for review before the given deadline.
- Coordinate with the field operations team on successful bids to provide a thorough transition to the project team.
- Follow awarded contracts, as assigned – may include estimating additional work items, change orders, procuring material, etc.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in electrical estimating roles on large commercial projects.
- Proven resource management and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi‑task and prioritize work.
- Attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in information analyzation and decision making.
- Working knowledge of Accubid and Accubid Live Count systems.
