Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $14.00 – $18.50 per hour (based on experience)
Job SummaryWheeler Staffing Partners is partnering with a valued client to place a detail-oriented Sales Assistant who will provide administrative and sales support to their Inside Sales team. This role is critical for ensuring accurate order processing, strong customer communication, and seamless coordination between departments in a fast-paced office environment.
Key Responsibilities- Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and customer orders
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, availability, usage, and credit terms
- Review work orders for accuracy and distribute to the appropriate departments
- Assist sales staff in preparing pricing and customer quotes
- Compile documentation to prepare purchase orders for materials and services
- Support order entry and assist with sales contracts as needed
- Make outbound and inbound calls to prospective and existing customers
- Organize and maintain invoices, customer purchase orders, and related files
- Communicate order updates and coordinate with internal teams
- Perform additional administrative and sales support duties as assigned
- 1–3 years of office or administrative experience
- Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Experience in the metals industry
- Familiarity with order entry and work order processes
- High school diploma or GED required
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered
- Ability to read and interpret procedures, instructions, and documentation
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Working knowledge of basic math concepts, including percentages and ratios
- Ability to solve practical problems and adapt to changing priorities
- Professional customer service mindset
