General Assistant Garden Centre; Temp

Overview

We are looking for Part Time Temporary Retail Assistants to join the team in our Garforth Garden Centre. Our competitive rates of pay depend on age. Various part time roles available. All positions include regular weekend shifts, so flexibility is a must. These are temporary roles until September 2026.

As a General Retail Assistant, you have a responsibility to provide excellent customer service, creating an exceptional shopping experience for our customers helping them to make informed purchases.

• Till operation and serving customers
• Stock replenishment and merchandising across all departments
• Creating and maintaining fabulous product displays
• Assisting our customers across the Centre, taking every opportunity to WOW
• Carrying out cleaning and housekeeping tasks as needed
• Assisting customers with carrying purchases to their cars
• Collecting trolleys and shopping baskets

• Friendly, with an engaging personality and a genuine love for customer service.
• Knowledge of Garden Centre products preferred but not essential as full training will be given
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Great teamwork.
• Hardworking
• Shift flexibility including weekends.
• The ability to work well and efficiently under pressure.
