Sweet Peas Day Care & Teaching Nurseries, located in Garforth and Rothwell, Leeds, is a trusted family‑owned nursery offering a distinct and innovative approach to early years education.
Employment type: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Ninelands Lane, Garforth, Leeds LS25 1NT
or Cornwall Crescent, Rothwell, Leeds, LS26 0RA
Salary: £23,088.00 – £25,396.80 per year (pay award pending for April 2026)
About the role: Sweet Peas is looking for experienced Early Years Educators who are passionate about children’s learning and development.
- Ensuring the safeguarding of all children within the nursery
- Maintaining high standards for the continuous learning environment
- Acting as the key point of contact for children and families, communicating effectively to support learning and wellbeing
- Accurately tracking children’s development, planning for next steps and completing electronic reports for parents
Who we’re looking for:
- Certified / licensed Early Years Educator (Level 2 or
3) with at least 1 year of experience (preferred) - Sound understanding of the EYFS and ability to implement its requirements
- Ability to plan and implement a curriculum, considering the SEN Code of Practice, child protection procedures and inclusion
- Effective communication with parents and encouragement of their involvement
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion
- Capacity to manage self and work calmly under pressure
- Ability to manage risk and safeguard children’s safety
