Employee Benefits Account Manager - Health Insurance Groups

Location: North Jersey (Hybrid)

A well-established, mid-sized insurance brokerage in North Jersey is growing and seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager to join their team. This firm has proudly served the tri-state area for over 100 years and is known for its consultative approach, long-standing client relationships, and flexible, trust-based culture.

This is an excellent opportunity to step into a long-tenured role and support group health clients across the greater New Jersey Region.

What You'll Do

• Manage a book of group health insurance clients, delivering exceptional service and proactive support
• Work with a range of products including HMO, PPO, POS, and FFS/indemnity plans
• Handle renewals, enrollments, claims issues, and benefit plan changes
• Build and maintain strong relationships with employer groups and carriers
• Partner with internal teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and a seamless client experience
• Provide consultative guidance tailored to each group's needs and benefits strategy

• $70,000-$75,000 salary
• Hybrid schedule: 2 days per week from home, with expanded flexibility after 90 days

What We're Looking For

• Experience in group health benefits required
• Life & Health License
• Strong understanding of HMO, PPO, POS, and indemnity plan structures
• Detail-oriented, responsive, and client-focused
• Experience working with AMS 360
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple employer groups in a fast-paced but supportive environment
