Job Description:General Statement of Duties:
The non credit instructor provides instruction in Specific Academic Subject Matter: ex. MCAS, SAT, STEM, Science, Mathematics, English, Languages, Reading etc.
Responsibilities:- Provide instruction to program classes;
- Develop implementation strategy and curriculum;
- Participate in student assistance/advisement;
- Work collaboratively with Academic Counselors and Specialists and other program staff to provide appropriate accommodations for individual students;
- Work together across curriculum with other instructors throughout the program;
- Assist in creating a supportive educational atmosphere for project participants;
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor required or in progress in appropriate field;
- Evidence of commitment to classroom teaching/learning;
- Willingness to advise students to meet their goals;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in appropriate field;
- Demonstrated knowledge of subject to be taught;
- Demonstrated ability to teach and motivate low-level learners;
- Demonstrated ability to incorporate research methodology and technology in the classroom;
- Ability to work effectively with a culturally and educationally diverse student population
Salary: $25.00 - $50.00 per hour, varies with position
