- Inspecting the work of other electricians to ensure it complies with laws, standards, and the National Electrical Code;

- Inspect electrical installations for compliance with laws, rules, standards, and the National Electrical Code
- Conduct investigations of complaints filed with the Electricians’ Examining Board
- Advise and instruct electricians licensed in Maine as to the correct use and implementation of state laws and national codes
- Coordinate travel arrangements to inspection sites, which may involve reimbursable overnight stays
Note:
Private electrical work on the side is not permitted due to enforcement of electrical codes for other electricians.
Possession of a Maine Master Electrician’s License.
Licensing/Registration/Certification requirements
:
Licensed as a Master Electrician in Maine.
- Very familiar with state laws and national standards pertaining to the regulation of electrical installations in Maine
- Understand the National Electrical Code
- Experience using computer-based word processing and spreadsheet programs
