You can work as much or as little as you like as an On‑Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule.

As an On‑Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via our myTime mobile scheduling app.

When you choose to pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary. You are asked to pick up and work shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum four hours). If you do not respond to contact attempts or work at least one shift within 5 months, your employment may be terminated.

Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. You will handle checkout, guest services, gift registry, pick‑up and drive‑up while ensuring exceptional quality.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing your daily tasks.
• Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs.
• Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to improve the guest experience.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards.
• Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy.
• Inform guests of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
• Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign‑up as needed.
• Explain how to use Wallet and other features of the Target App.
• Attempt every return and follow register prompts, partnering with leaders as needed to resolve issues.
• Partner with leaders to de‑escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience.
• Deliver accurate service to Order Pick‑Up, Drive‑Up, and Registry guests.
• Maintain a clean, clutter‑free work area.
• Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for guests.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner at all times and comply with all safety policies.
• Support guest services such as OPU, DU Orders, DU Returns and comply with local laws.
• Support Cash Office processes as needed.
• Perform other duties based on business needs.

• Efficiently and safely scan, handle and move merchandise up to 44 pounds.
• Flexibility to pick up shifts on nights, weekends and holidays.
• Active engagement by picking up and working shifts and responding to contact attempts.
• Work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements.
• Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
