Manager in Training (MIT) – store management role  MIT position prepares you for a Retail Store Manager role through leadership training, customer service excellence, and operational expertise. Within 8‑12 weeks you may progress into management based on performance and prior experience.

• Lead development – live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and cultivate a high‑performing, engaged store team.
• Communication excellence – maintain clear, effective communication with employees and customers to drive store execution and performance.
• Metrics mind – learn to manage, analyze, and reconcile monthly P&L statements to optimize store profitability.
• Structure & process orientation – support store operations, ensure compliance with policies, and uphold structured training processes.
• Teamwork & training – assist with staffing, mentoring, and training employees to develop a strong, successful team.
• Customer service leadership – take charge of customer service activities, ensuring outstanding experiences and resolving concerns proactively.
• Inventory & sales management – oversee inventory accuracy, store merchandising, and sales strategies to maximize success.
• Operations training – complete management skills training, learning key aspects of store operations and Auto Zone culture.

• Minimum 1‑2 years of prior experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
• Full‑time flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Exceptional communication skills in Spanish and English.
• Previous automotive retail experience or analysis of company financials (e.g., P&L statements) is a plus.
