Description

Essential Functions ? Perform advanced welding, cutting, brazing, and metal fabrication of components used in heater assemblies. ? Execute MIG and TIG welding, including stainless steel welding, based on application requirements. ? Weld frames, enclosures, brackets, housings, back panels, and grounding components that interface with electrical assemblies (no live electrical work). ? Set up welding equipment and select appropriate welding methods, materials, filler metals, and parameters.

? Prepare, assemble, align, and tack components prior to final welding. ? Monitor welding processes to prevent overheating, warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage. ? Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and compliance with specifications; perform rework as needed. ? Demonstrate working knowledge of metals and materials used in heater manufacturing. ? Identify root causes of weld defects and recommend corrective actions.

? Support troubleshooting of fitment, distortion, or production issues related to welding. ? Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and entry-level welders. ? Maintain welding equipment, tools, and a clean, organized work area. ? Notify supervision of defective materials, equipment issues, or safety concerns. ? Promote and enforce safe welding practices and proper PPE usage. ? Perform other related duties as assigned.
